This 1899 Second Edition is virtually identical to the first edition of the Autobiography and Letters of Mrs MOW Oliphant, published earlier the same year. (Note, the later Third Edition was abridged.)
In 1990 a new edition of the Autobiography was published including many passages earlier omitted, though it does not include the Letters. (The Autobiography of Margaret Oliphant - the Complete Edition, edited by Elisabeth Jay,OUP,1990.)
